You recently visited a foreign city for the first time and stayed in a hotel. However, you were not satisfied with the hotel services. Write a letter to the hotel manager. In your letter, introduce yourself, explain what went wrong during your stay, and suggest what they could do to improve their service.

MODEL ESSAY / ANSWER

Dear Hotel Manager, I hope this letter finds you well. My name is John Doe, and I recently had the pleasure of staying at your esteemed hotel from April 1st to April 5th, during my first visit to your beautiful city. While I was excited about my stay, certain aspects of the hotel services were not up to the mark, prompting me to write this letter. Firstly, the room I was allocated had a malfunctioning air conditioner, which made my nights quite uncomfortable. Despite several complaints, the issue was not resolved until my last night. Secondly, the room service was often delayed, and on one occasion, my dinner order was completely forgotten. Such experiences significantly marred my overall impression of the hotel. I believe that prompt and efficient service is the cornerstone of the hospitality industry. To improve guest satisfaction, I suggest that a more rigorous maintenance check be implemented for the rooms, especially concerning the air conditioning systems. Additionally, enhancing the training of your room service staff could prevent future oversights and delays.
