From a health perspective, sleep disorders can lead to a myriad of problems. Chronic sleep deprivation is linked to an increased risk of conditions such as obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and even certain types of cancer. Moreover, it weakens the immune system, making individuals more susceptible to common illnesses. On a psychological level, lack of quality sleep can result in mood disorders, anxiety, and depression, further deteriorating an individual's quality of life. In terms of productivity, sleep disorders can be equally detrimental. Sleep-deprived individuals often experience reduced concentration, memory lapses, and decreased problem-solving abilities, which can significantly hamper their performance at work or school. Furthermore, excessive daytime sleepiness, a common symptom of many sleep disorders, can lead to accidents and mistakes, posing a risk not only to the individual but also to those around them.
